When COVID turned the world upside down, nobody knew what tomorrow would look like.
Like thousands of others, my husband and I suddenly found ourselves without work. The future felt uncertain, and every day seemed to bring more questions than answers.
Then, in the middle of all that uncertainty, life gave us hope.
We were expecting our first child.
She arrived in early 2021 and completely changed our world.
Fourteen months later, her little sister arrived, and before we had time to catch our breath, we were parents of two beautiful girls under the age of two.
Life changed overnight.
I went from being a bubbly, carefree woman to someone responsible for two tiny lives.
Every decision mattered.
Every fever felt terrifying.
Every sleepless night became normal.
Then came the physical challenges.
Recovering from two Caesarean births while living with rheumatoid arthritis wasn’t easy.
Some days, simply getting out of bed felt like an achievement.
At the same time, our savings slowly disappeared.
Children don’t just change your schedule.
They change your finances too.
Thankfully, my husband, who works in IT, became my biggest support. Working from home meant he was present during the hardest days, and I will always be grateful for that.
But somewhere between diapers, school admissions, doctor’s appointments, and endless laundry…
I quietly lost something.
Not my love for motherhood.
Never that.
I lost my confidence.
I stopped believing I could start something new.
Every idea was followed by another thought.
“What if I fail?”
“What if it takes time away from my children?”
“What if I disappoint my family?”
When my daughters finally started school, I thought maybe it was my chance to return to work.
Life smiled…
…and handed me another surprise.
I was pregnant again.
In 2026, our son completed our family.
Three beautiful children.
Three reasons to keep going.
But also one question that refused to leave me.
How do I create something that’s mine?
Not because I don’t love being a stay-at-home mom.
I do.
But I also wanted financial confidence.
I wanted to contribute.
I wanted to build something my children could one day point at and proudly say,
“Mom created that.”
I’ve always loved writing.
Long before The Flexing Mom, I wrote for magazines and newspapers because putting thoughts into words has always felt natural to me.
So after countless late nights of scrolling through stories of women building businesses online, I finally stopped asking,
“Can I?”
and started asking,
“Why not?”
That’s how The Flexing Mom began.
Not with a business plan.
Not with a marketing strategy.
Just one ordinary mom choosing to believe it wasn’t too late to begin again.
My son is still little enough to sleep for a few hours during the day.
Those quiet moments have become my office.
That’s when I write.
That’s when I learn.
That’s when I build.
I don’t know exactly where this journey will take me.
Maybe it will become a business.
Maybe it will become a community.
Maybe it will simply become proof that it’s never too late to start.
Whatever happens…
I’m glad you’re here.
Let’s take this journey together.
One day at a time.
